Inspired along the Way
Growing up, baking was always quietly in the background.
My mom would take over the kitchen to decorate elaborate birthday cakes and invite me back in once it was hidden away, so during cleanup I could lick the buttercream from her KitchenAid paddle. Her mixer was a 1971 wedding gift that has been lovingly passed down to me more than 50 years later. For her, cakes were her favorite hobby - and my uncle's family-owned business Bakery Crafts, was a historic manufacturer of baking and cake decorating supplies in the Cincinnati area.
Of course, my career in pastry didn't come until after this, and was a surprise to us all. With a background in kitchen management and dietary adaptability, I found myself drawn to crafting pastry as a way to connect with people through food. My studies in International Relations at Ohio University shaped the way I think about culture, communication, and shared experiences. My time in Paris at pastry school deepened my appreciation for the tradition, language, and discipline behind French baking.
Bad Bunnie Baking is a culmination of those experiences - blending mentorship, formal pastry training, and a self-taught exploration of desserts. I balance classic techniques with modern inclusivity to share my desserts in different expressions sold through cafes and businesses throughout Summit County, Colorado.
My goal is to create pastries that feel thoughtful, approachable, and rooted in both tradition and creativity.

Bad Bunnie Baking Company specializes in handcrafted pastries and desserts inspired by classic technique and the changing seasons.
A few signature staples remain consistent year round, like croissants and biscotti. We bake specifically for each wholesale partner, with thoughtfully curated menus for each cafe based on guest preference, ingredient availability, and product performance in their case. We want to ensure each menu item remains fresh, while maintaining high quality and consistency our partners and their customers expect.
